                                              My country, my rights

The citizen of a country has the right to enjoy all the rights that are provided to him by the constitution. No one can provoke these rights from the citizen on any grounds.

India is a republic county and every citizen of India has rights which are called as the fundamental rights. According to the constitution of India there are six fundamental rights for its citizens.

Fundamental rights: Guaranteed rights for the citizens of India.

They are,

  • Right to equality: No citizen can be denied service or offered priority based on any factor such as caste, religion,etc. All citizens are the same.
  • Right to freedom: All citizens have the right to be free and not be enslaved or controlled by any one at any cause.
  • Right against exploitation: The citizens have the right to fight for their rights. No rights can be denied by anyone.
  • Right to freedom of religion: The citizens are free to follow any religion of their choice. No restrictions or conditions should be made against a religion and so, India is called as a "Secular country"
  • Cultural and educational rights: All the citizens have the right to follow their own culture and tradition. The people should be provided with education and should never be denied for education for any reasons.
  • Right to constitutional remedies: The citizens should be given civil rights and human rights. There are 13 civil rights for a citizen of India.

Indian civilizations is very old, ranging  a period  more than 4000 years, and has seen  the fusion of many customs and traditional changes, which have produced a rich culture and heritage of India as a country.

The history of the nation present  speciality  of its evolution - from a Country oppressed under colonialism, to one of the vibrant  economies in the globally  within a span of fifty years only.

The nationalistic fervour of the people is in contributing force behind the formation  of such a development.
