Bismillah Khan was a poor Muslim guy who doesn't think about the religion he will go to all the temples and churches once there was a musical instrument pungi called which was hated by everyone Emperor Aurangzeb hated it so much and Banded it from playing so when once Bismillah Khan tried playing the pangi there was seven holes on its body and when he played he keep on closing and opening some of the holes so that it produced a soft melody music then she thought of redesigning the pungi and he redesigned it to shehnai and then he produced it to the Royal court and the accepted and allowed the Shehnai which was redesigned from the old hated pungi at the age of 14 Bismillah Khan accompanied his uncle to the Allahabad music conference at the end of his recital ,ustad faiyaz khan patted the young boys back and said " work hard and you shall make it" with the opening of all India radio in Lucknow in 1938 came Bismillah's big break his soon become an often- heared Shehnai player on radio when India gained independence on 15 August 1947 Bismillah Khan became the first Indian to greet the nation with his shehnai
