Petrol can be distilled from petroleum by a process known as fractional distillation where the crude oil OR petroleum is passed through it. There at a particular temperature it boils and is being separated. And after separation its in its gaseous form which condensed OR cooled and we get a liquid Petrol. Not only petrol is separated but other fuels like kerosene, oil, diesel, etc are separated by using the same technique. There all are separated at a time because petroleum consists of all them..
