Women's Rights

Women are not given equal rights to men. Majority of the people feel that women are weaker than men. That's true but only when we consider it physically. Women should be given freedom and equal rights just as men. In the past, women were treated very harshly. They had to suffer a lot. Sutti was practiced which is now banned. Also there was female infanticide practiced. Everyone wished that they could have a son and not a daughter because if a daughter was born it would be considered a shame so the baby daughter would be buried alive. Now when we come to politics, women in the past were not given the right to vote as they were considered lowly. They could not make their own decisions too.
