My working holiday in Nepal got off to a terrible start ,due to the fact our Gulf air flight from Muscat to Kathmandu could not land on the 14th february 2007 due to bad weather conditions(their excuse). I think it was more a case of the pilot not being capable!!! If our flight had left London on TIME , instead of 1 1/2 hours late and then left MUSCAT ON TIME(we were also 1 1/2 hour late leaving Muscat.) maybe we would have had a chance to arrive in Kathmandu in good weather.! Instead we were then flown to Dhaka in Bangladesh for refuelling(?) six hours later we arrived at Dhaka ,only to be told we would there for a few hours ,but could not leave the plane.After a while you could see many armed Soldiers and guards surrounding the plane, this was not a reassuring site,quite a worry for some passengers. On top of this the open doors to the passenger exit allowed thousands of Hungry Mosquitos to enter the plane and it was a stuggle not to get bitten. Of course the supervisor then had a great idea and started to spray Pestices all over the plane as well as over all us passengers(i am sure this is NOT legal)
