Sir,    

       I am Rahul Deshmukh, a social worker in Delhi. I am also a daily reader of your newspaper. In this letter, I want to throw light on domestic violence against women​.

          Domestic violence is a huge issue in our country. It is not a recent problem but it is destroying the lives of many women. Women in our society face more problems in their homes rather than outside. Many young girls who want to educate themselves, face problems in their own families. Some are tortured in their in-law's house for dowry. Most of the Indian parents do not provide minimum freedom to their girls.

         Many also protest to stop domestic violence but it will not stop until the government takes proper steps against it. I would be obliged if my writing gets a little space in your esteemed daily.
