Subject: Invitation to a Story-Telling Competition

Sir,

Everyone here at my school loves your books. You are a brilliant source of inspiration. We all learned how to cry, laugh and think with you. I am writing this e-mail on the behalf of our school to invite you to be the respected chief guest for the upcoming Story-Telling Competition in our school. The competition would be held for the students of class 8th and 9th. We would absolutely enjoy your company. And it's a promise that you would enjoy too!

Looking forward to having a pleasant time with you.

Yours truly

Olivia

E-mail Writing

Just like letters, e-mails are of good use to communicate with contacts. To  dispatch a letter, you would take a page, scribble the words, seal it in an envelope, apply a stamp, and then head to the post box for delivering it to the recipient, or, follow the old-fashioned of using a pigeon as your messenger. But emails, they can be delivered quickly and in a way that requires very little effort. Here is the format of an e-mail:

  • "From:" E-mail address of the sender
  • "To:" E-mail address of the recipient
  • Date
  • Subject
  • Greetings
  • Main body
  • Complimentary closing
  • Name of the sender
