Dear Siddharth,
I hope you are in better health now. I would like you to know that its okay that you did not do well in the exams. It is not the end of the world, every failure is a step towards success. You will think that these are empty words because its easier said than done but I will tell you my story and maybe then you will believe me.
I wanted to study abroad for my Masters and I had applied to a number of prestigious institutions across the world. I was accepted by all but rejected in terms of scholarship or financial aid. It was a devastating moment for me. I was in such turmoil that I fell ill physically and remained bed-ridden for a month. But then I realized that I had to make the most of everything, even my failures. So I applied to the most prestigious institution in India and got through easily. Once I had completed my Masters programme, I started applying abroad again. This time, I received full financial aid from all the universities I had applied to such that I was spoilt for choice. The lesson I learned is to take everything as an opportunity to do better next time.
Please don't give up. The only rule that human beings ought to follow is never to give up. That's the law of life, you can rest when you're gone. Life is for the living and hope is the beacon that takes us forward. Get up my friend, life awaits.
Your friend,
Aditya Agarwal

Dear Sumit:
I hope this mail find you trying to regain your balance after the setback in MPSC examination. There is no reason for you to sulk and pine over the failure. There is always next time. You know how I had also failed in my PSEB exams; but after that I worked very hard and topped next year.
Success is not possible without failures. There is no single example in the entire human race that is an exception. All great personalities and personages, who have left indelible prints of their lives on the sands of eternity, are the men and women who converted their failures into success. The list is endless: Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton, Socrates, Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Charlie Chaplin, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Helen Keller, Mahatma Gandhi, and so on.
All the above mentioned names share one common thing; they were not quitters; they were winners. They knew the secret to be successful. They faced myriads of obstacles and hindrances without compromising with their vision and mission.
I am sure you will definitely turn over a new leaf. All the best. I am with you.
Regards,
Upen
