Given line

y + 5x = 7

y = -5x + 7

its in the form of y = mx + c

so..m = slope = -5

so the slope of the line parallel to it will also be = -5

The equation of line passibg through (3,-4) will be..

y = -5x + R

-4 = -5(3) + R

-4 + 15 = R

11 = R..

so the line equation parallel to y + 5x = 7 will be

y = -5x +11

Y+ 5x = 11....

The general equation of the line parallel to

y+5x=7

is y +5x +k=0

By taking any real values of k, we can find infinite equations.

 But this line passes through the point (3,-4).

 The point will satisfy the equation y +5x+k=0

 so................putting the values of x and y..

 -4 + 5(3) +k =0

or k =-11

 So the equation of the parallel line is y +5x -11=0
