Explanation:

In the year 2008 October 22, India launched its first mission to Moon from Sriharikota space station, Known as Chandrayaan 1. This mission was launch to probe around moon at 100 km height at its lunar surface in order to find out the photo- geological and chemical mapping of moon. The aircraft for this mission accounted for the 11 types  of  instruments made by the most powerful countries of the world in  such as US and Bulgaria.

After completion of first round of this mission spacecraft now orbit at 200km from lunar suface and has done 3400 orbit around but eventually we loss connection with spacecraft on 29 August 2009.

In the year 2019 , 22 july ISRO launched another mission to moon in the name of Chandrayaan 2 from its Satish Dhawan space centre which also included vikram lander, pragyan lunar rover and lunar orbiter. The key objective of launching this mission is to explore lunar water and also study the variation of lunar surface. In september 2019, the lander was expected to land south polar region but ultimately connection was lost, soft landing was made India will be considered as 4th nation as China, U.S and soviet Union have already made landing on moon.
