COVID-19 has taught us many lessons. One of the major lessons is the preparedness of nations to be self sufficient for such future situation.
Although, world has faced influenza virus during 80's till mid 90's. The virus was similar and more severe. But nations did not do much about the virus. If someone had prepared vaccine at that time, it could have helped during COVID-19 as well.
Better late than never, now is the time that we put restrictions on research which may lead to such synthesis and try to make vaccine of the virus and avoid the spread of such diseases in future.
