I do not play hockey but I love to watch the game. And few occasions provide better hockey than the annual Sindhia Hockey Tournament at Gwalior.
I saw the final match of the tournament. It was a sunny day-the best weather games. A large number of prominent people and hockey lovers had gathered to watch the match.
The Chief Minister and other high officials, was present there. All round the field, students and common public had gathered. The spectators were impatiently waiting for the match to begin.

Last week, I happened to get a chance to see an interesting hockey match. It was played by Modern School, Barakhamba and D.A.V. Public School.
Both the teams were comprised of confident, efficient and skilful players. Modern School, Barakhamba was at the peak of its performance as it had enjoyed successive wins during the last few months. Mr. Rajdeep Singh and Shamsher Rana were the referees for the match. The match was played at Ram Darshan Singh Ground.
There was a great rush of the spectators in the ground. They included students, teachers and guests. The teams forwarded in the ground with the long whistle of the referee. Both the teams were in high spirit and were ready to beat their rivals. The players of both the teams were well-dressed and well-groomed. The players were in their proper uniform. The D.A.V. team was clad in blue shorts and white shirts while the players of the Modern School, Barakhamba had white shorts and light green shirts. Amrendra Singh was the captain of the Modern School, Barakhamba. The D.A.V. team was being led by Zafar Iqbal.
