A Terrifying Experience

One day I was in bed. It was so boring being sick. 
My parents said I’m not allowed to go anywhere when I’m sick. 
This was the worst that could happen to me. Tucked into bed - what a nightmare. 

While I was in bed doing absolutely N O T H I N G I was thinking what I could do when I get better. I remembered that today was my friend’s birthday party at the bowling ally. I thought to myself I really have to go there, but how???

I thought and thought and thought and ….
Suddenly I found an answer. I picked up the phone and called my friend. 

This was my plan. After dinner when my mum and dad go to bed and watch TV I could climb out of my window and have to dodge the sensors at the house. My friends would be waiting for me outside. And then we would run to the bowling ally and would have the best time of our lives.

So after dinner when my parents went to bed and watched TV I got dressed to go out. Then I climbed out of my window and dodged the sensors. But when I took one tip toeing step my skirt got stuck to something. It was dark and I couldn’t see very well. So I pulled my skirt and …oh no!
My skirt ripped and fell down, the sensor lights went on and my friends where standing outside looking at me. 

There was a moment of silence. 

Then they all started laughing. I was blushing. Could my life ever reach a lower point? My mum and dad came outside. “Never let me see you doing that again!” Dad said. I felt embarrassed. My mum grounded me for a MONTH!!! 

I was in REAL BIG TROUBLE then. So while I was grounded I was thinking what I could do…..or better shouldn’t do. 

So I decided to stay in bed when I got sick again.
