Answer:

It was the last day of my school after which we had a long summer vacation. As it was the last day all the teachers were busy giving the homework, and projects, and we were all writing them down and got really exhausted from all the work our teachers appointed us. We were feeling so tired just by seeing the vast amount of work we had to do. As school ended teachers wished us a happy summer vacation and we were sulking thinking how can we have a happy vacation when you didn’t leave any time to be happy. I thought to start the works from tomorrow itself then at least I would get some free time to do my studies also. I was having a headache but I just shrugged it off thinking that it was because so the stress and pressure seeing all the works to do.

School got over a little time earlier and I had my lunch and sat for my tuition which was supposed to begin at 3:30 pm. As the teacher was explaining the questions my headache grew more severe. I started massaging my templates but it was of no use, as time went, I started to feel unwell, my body started to get warmer and warmer with the headache being uncontrollably high. I finished the class anyhow and called my mother to checking me if something was happening. She touched my forehead and said that I was burning. She gave me some medicines and told me to rest. After a few minutes the fever was gone but I started to feel very weak. I was too weak to run from one room to the other. Mother brought me some warm milk to give me strength. Few hours went by in peace then again, my fever came back. I didn’t consult any doctor cause my parents thought that it was just a normal temperature due to stress and lack of enough sleeping. I had the medicine but my fever was not falling at night it reached to a hundred and four degrees, I could barely sleep at night cause of the headache

Next morning, I woke up and I remembered that my vacation has started and I have to finish all those works cause the very first day the school reopens we had to submit all our works. But I was not in a state to do any work, I was feeling tired and weak and my stomach was not very good. The morning went well and as the day grew my fever was back. As days went by, I became really weak to even walk about. My fever was fluctuating. One week went by still my fever was not going and I also got a little bit so cold. Mother called my specialized doctor and asked for an appointment and we asked to do a covid test as soon as he heard that I have fever. There was no other option my parents wanted to start my medication as soon as possible because I was getting worse by each day went by.

A day was selected for mu test. It was just a matter of seconds and the person who came to do the test promised to give the report in two days. The very next day the report arrived and, I was positive. Slowly I started to lose my taste and smell. Doctor advised to eat healthy protein rich food and vitamins and also gave a few common medicines for a faster recovery and to remain in house for at least one month cause children tend to recover fast than adults but still they can carry the virus. So, it was best so me to stay at home. These days I was hardly able to do anything, my body was really tired and I slept the mornings. I also got a bit cold so doctor advised me take my allergy pills cause it my allergy can also get high cause of this. I was getting worried every day, I haven’t even touched my work and my holidays were coming to an end.

Three weeks had already passed and I was getting a little better. My taste was coming back little by little but my allergy was still quite high. Doctor said that they are all quite natural so no need to worry. The day my fever was over I started with the school works. I had only a few days to complete them. My brother and friends also helped me a lot. With their help I finished my projects on time though I was not fully well ad mother told me not to over work myself I still completed all the homework. When school opened I had completed all my works and submitted them to my respective teachers.

Answer:

I have worked on many important projects throughout my career. What’s really crucial for me when starting one is to get very clear on the goals right at the start and then create a plan with milestones. I also like dealing with the most difficult parts of the projects early on—that way in case there are any significant issues, I’ll still have a nice amount of time to complete before the deadline. I also typically break down large tasks into smaller chunks, so that it is easier to know where to start. Detailed planning is very important to ensure an important project goes smoothly. For example, last year I was in charge of . . . .”

From here, start explaining the project, first in terms of its purpose and objective, scope, complexity [e.g. working with new technology, number of resources, budget, and timeline] and the key challenge you needed to overcome. Show them that you can see not only the big picture but also all the little things that need to happen on a daily basis in order to get the project done.

Here’s another example of how to answer the question:

“In order to get project “X” completed in my previous job, I found out who the key stakeholders were and got their input on the project’s different parts. Then, I outlined the major milestones that would be involved in completing the project, and worked backwards to break down the work that would need to be done at each stage.

I created a list of all possible risks that might stop us from reaching those milestones, and I then added some extra time to the schedule in case anything unexpected came up. I also made sure that my role and responsibilities in the project were as clear as possible so I knew exactly what I had to do. The project was completed on time, but looking back, I realize there were some problems that could have been avoided. For example, I would have changed “Z” in order to avoid some of the minor scheduling problems we ran into. Having said that, it’s always easier to see what the learnings are after a project has been completed, and I now know what I’d do differently the next time.”

Remember your end goal with this question: to put yourself in the best possible light when explain your project management approach, and lessons learned from past important projects. Make sure you shine in the end, but don’t come off as an arrogant bragger. Don’t take all the credit if you worked on a collaborative project. Quantify the end results, if possible, and always make sure you share the outcome of the project’s completion. Good luck!
