People who are uneducated and fight about trivial things frequently engage in street brawls. The most of the time, street fights are quite minor in nature, but occasionally they escalate and result in numerous significant injuries and a few fatalities.
One day when I was studying in my room, I heard two of my neighbors having a heated conversation in the street. I didn't pay attention because I assumed it would be a small argument, but soon I started to hear a lot of voices. A street fight was evident when I peered out the window. In a flash, I down the stairs and arrived at the location. As soon as I noticed that they had both exchanged blows, I was at my wit's end. No one attempted to appease them as the bystanders watched them arguing and enjoying it.
I tried to find out the origin of their argument by asking someone in the crowd, but I was unable to do so. My neighbour was one of the individuals fighting. The other person had struck him on the head, and it was bleeding from his forehead. A young man suddenly stepped up and made an effort to separate them. He was powerless to act alone. The latter was still abusing my neighbours while threatening to make him right when they next crossed paths.
It was determined that the elderly man who was in the crowd should step forward and settle the argument. He was expected to make a decision on the case, and both parties agreed to follow it. First, my neighbour said that the other man fell headfirst while riding a bicycle down the street. On his body, he sustained a few scratches. He counselled the latter to proceed gently and slowly because reckless driving invariably results in injuries. This was misconstrued by the cyclist, who then began disparaging my neighbour. He was unable to ignore the insult, so they traded sharp words that eventually turned physical.
The second man said that he was cycling extremely cautiously. The youngster suddenly took off running and tried to cross the street. He collides with the youngster as a result and collapses. He was abused by my neighbour, but he said nothing. Then he got slapped by my neighbour. He had no influence over this situation. He lost his cool and responded by giving my neighbour a hard slap, which led to an outburst of fighting.
The elderly man claimed that it was my neighbours' fault because they ought to have listened to the cyclist's justification before reprimanding him. So my neighbour expressed his regret to the biker who crossed his path. Everyone in attendance left satisfied and returned to their homes.
The lesson we take away is to drive cautiously on the road and to exercise patience if another driver makes a mistake. To prevent unpleasant street conflicts, harsh language should be avoided and tempers should be controlled.
