Explanation:

Library is a place where a large number of books are stored, collected and offered for reference and borrowing. This facility is provided by the library either in exchange for a monthly subscription fee that the members have to pay, or for a pay-as-you-use basis where you pay every time you use the service, and in some specific libraries this is also offered free of cost.

Infrastructure, Arrangement and Facilities: So the Library typically begins with an individual, group of individuals or an Organisation [more common] that wants to start the Library.

When an Organisation like a School, College, Institute or a University starts a Library this is generally a big-sized one, that is focused more on the academic, research or other goals of the Organisation. It begins with the allocation of funds and arrangement of a location or a building or a part of building as a storage space for the books. Then depending on the objectives of the Library whether for entertainment, academic, research, reference or a combination of these, the process of collecting the necessary books is started. When the minimum number of necessary books are available with the Library, it is opened for its target readers to use. Of course the process of collection of new books in an ongoing one, throughout the life span of the Library. The books are arranged on books shelves, and in separate spaces or even separate rooms or floors depending on the topics and number of books to be accommodated. The Library generally also offers adequate tables, chairs, and reading space for readers to browse through and refer through books at their leisure before borrowing them.

Traditional vs Modern: The modern libraries are semi or altogether Online Libraries. With the availability of the internet and computers, a lot of books have been transferred online as soft copies that can be accessed and read using your online devices like mobile phones, tablets, laptops, etc. As a consequence, parts of a modern Library or even the entire Library is nowadays available online through the Library website, where you can access and read each and every book.

Both traditional and modern libraries are a source of learning and entertainment to all.
