We often become greedy on seeing our favorite dishes which brings water in our mouth. How yummy is it ? May I get it more ? These are the first questions that arise in our mind after we taste or better to say smell our foods. Our greed of tongue doesn't let us control this. Our guardians are partially responsible for this. Its their duty to teach a child to have control on his/her will.

Indeed, there is a need of diet for all even for pets also. This is because logically they too have stomach. But scientifically overeating or bad eating causes harm to health in many ways. I have a friend named Shreya. She suffers from food poisoning regularly because of her habit of over eating. Recently she faced the problem again. This time she didn't give up instead she stood up and decided not have over eating again. When it comes to animals, they too have some limits when it comes to food. Honestly, we can't serve a bowl of grasses to a Tiger or a bowl of flesh to cattles.

Pet animals are our friend and family members. Its seen that whenever an animal is being kept in human environment for a long time, they develop some habits of humans also. Let's understand this using a reference. Most of us know about the story 'A Triumph of Surgery' written by James Herriot. In this story we see that how a dog which is heathy at beginning but later we see Tricki (pet dog) is turned very drowsy, lazy and ill due to over eating of his favorite dishes.

Even many pets face problem even of death due to over eating. Also, pets have certain variety of food which they have to eat along with proper exercises.

Pets are our friends. We have the responsibility to take care of them. Humans and pets both need a certain diet to survive well and remain healthy. Lack of consciousness to diet might spoil their health or could even lead to other serious problems. It's better for everyone to understand the need of diet. A healthy diet, doesn't only includes healthy foods but it also includes healthy environment to live, regular exercise or physical activities, etc.

' A Triumph of Surgery' is written by James Herriot. It shows the sentimental, silly and over caring behaviour of a very rich woman towards her pet dog Tricki. She pampers and overfeeds Tricki a lot. Even Tricki started enjoying his greediness of eating his favorite dishes. As a result, the dog falls ill and a veterinary doctor who lived aside was called. He advised Mrs. Pumphrey (owner of Tricki) to give Tricki a lot exercise and cut off his meal. She didn't give any attention to the doctor's advise due to her affection towards her dog. Finally the dog was sent to be admitted and then cured.
