Strange men. Hmmm well, all men are a unique species..to us women.. & strange is a relative term.

It seems I married the strangest man I ever met over twenty yrs ago.

But I do remember a guy drunk ( gosh I hope) but at the very least had no idea that “the least impressive thing is a man trying to be impressive”…he kept doing all these fake karate moves trying to look tough & dangerous..this can happen a lot to my poor hubby as they think bikers will be impressed by them..after a long time of such foolishness being ignored, he challenged hubby to a jalapeno eating contest…rather than cause trouble inside a place where we liked the owner, hubby said ok..how much? The guy said five bucks..hubby said ok…you first & I'll just have to beat whatever you can do.

He was gonna show us how tough he was now..he ate a few..& you could tell it was getting harder for him but hey he had to show how tough he was so..he ate until he was sweating far more than he had with the fake fighting moves we'd ignored already & finally said..done..

Hubby handed him five bucks & told him he'd won.

Those with nothing to prove, need prove nothing.

He was still confused but having won could not call it unfair. Still looking baffled he watched us start our bikes & head to the clubhouse.

I bet ( Mr show-off) tells it this way..I challenged the pres of( insert name here) & won. But the biker world is much smaller than you might think despite the invisible lines dividing the world.

I found one not that strange..I mean drunks showing off are not exactly strange, happens all the time, but men like my hubby are rare, wise & though only 5′8″ command a certain respect that can not be demanded. Thus he was club pres for nearly twenty yrs. They wanted him to take a lifetime chair, but he refused & made them vote him in every yr.
