So hey there! Let me start from the beginning… So from 1st standard to my 10th standard,I was an above average kid (in academics). Like I used to score well enough ,my parents were happy (but they always used to say “beta you can do better” like every typical indian parent right?) So everything was going fine. I reached my 10 th standard now, everyone in the surroundings trying to scare you by “beta ab to tumhare boards exams hai! tumhari puri life is bar depend kregi …blah blah”
Translation: Son, now you will be having your board exams! Your whole life is dependent on it! blah blah!
So fast forward to board exams, I studied well and I scored 9.4 cgpa(89.6% approx)…so yeah everyone was happy about my score.Fast forward to the end of the holidays.
Now i had to make soo called most important decision of life…
ENGINEERING OR MEDICAL?….(commerce ke bare mai socha hi nhi( didn't even think about commerce, typical indian kid)
So I have 2 elder sisters…both of them took computer science as a subject after their 10th…and they suggested me if I go for engineering (that is basically choosing CS in class 11th), then there will be so much guidance they can provide to me (My jiju(brother in law) was also a software engg). So they told me to think about it seriously and make a decision.
Now let me tell you my side story, from childhood only I wanted to join INDIAN ARMED FORCES(IAF,NAVY,ARMY).
So I researched about it on internet(In those days,we had to go to cyber cafe for searching for some minor things also..XD) Then i got to know about NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY ,TES ENTRY,NAVY BTECH ENTRY.
These were the three entries which a person can give after his 10+2 to join the INDIAN ARMED FORCES. So I saw some documentries on NDA, although I knew about it from my 6 standard(I tried for sainik school but I failed! to clear the written examination). I GOT GOOSEBUMPS EVERY TIME I SAW THAT UNIFORM MAN!
So I checked the criteria for NDA and there it was mentioned that for applying for written examination , the candidate should have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2.
And also I was not interested in medical stream ,as from childhood only I saw my sister doing programming and I was also interested in computers (a little bit) plus the defense entries required mathematics as a compulsory subject in 10+2.
