Answer:- Independence day plays a very important role in the life of all the Indians. 15th August, 1947, is a day that is engraved into the hearts of all the Indians. On this day, India got its freedom from the clutches of the British Rule after so many hard battles and struggles. For the citizens of any country, Independence Day is a day of pride and glory. Every Indian pays the tributes to the freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose and many more, who selflessly fought for our country. Many leaders of independence movement even lost their lives.
On this day, Jawaharlal Nehru delivered a speech “Tryst with Destiny” which announces the freedom of the motherland India. These announcements raise the spirits all over the country. It was a dream of every Indian to get free their motherland from the British Rule and finally when it was happening they all feel pride. It was actually a night of celebration throughout the country.
However, it’s true that to gain something, something to be lost. So on the eve of Independence, the internal disputes resulted in the formation of a new nation named Pakistan. Independence Day is celebrated in Pakistan on 14th August every year.
