Answer:
- 1. My Ambition Essay
- My Ambition
- The ambition of any person’s life usually depends on their choice and interests. I aspire to be a great dancer. I have always had the knack for dancing from an early age. My parents always encouraged me to pursue my passion. Like most of the parents, they never discouraged me because it is not the most sought after career.
- Subsequently, I wish to become a good dancer. I do not want the fame of being a dancer; rather I want the acclaim of being a good dancer. As my parents motivated me to pursue my dream, they enrolled me in dance classes. It helped me grow a lot as a dancer and also enhance my skills.
- Most importantly, I wish to be a dance because I want to remove the stigma surrounding this career path. I want to set an example that you can do well in life if you’re not a doctor or engineer. Especially in India, where these two ambitions are considered the most valid.
- I believe in the power of dance, and how it conveys the message without words. Dance is the language of the soul, and it makes me feel alive when I indulge in it.
- Multiple stories are linked to this celebration. One story from northern India tells the story about the great King Rama, one of the avatars of the Hindu god Vishnu. According to the Ramayana, an ancient epic, Rama returned to his kingdom after fourteen years of exile, and defeating the evil demon Ravana, who kidnapped his wife, Sita. On his arrival to Ayodhya, his kingdom, people welcomed him by lighting lamps called diyas. A popular story from southern India is about the Hindu god Krishna, saving sixteen-thousand women from Narakasura, an evil king. In both stories, it is a victory of good over evil. Diwali is also a celebration of goddess Lakshmi.
- On the day of Diwali, I like to visit temple, where I pray to Mother Lakshmi. We worship Goddess Lakshmi for peace, prosperity, and wealth. I also wear new Indian clothes, such as a kurta for men and a sari for women.
- We light our homes with diyas, an oil lamp made from clay. We light them by using a cotton wick dipped in ghee or oil. This is one of the reasons that Diwali is called as “The Festival of Lights.” This signifies the victory of good over evil and the dispelling of darkness. We also share sweets with our friends and family.
- There are many delicious milk sweets, cashew sweets, and almond sweets my family prepares, but out of all of these delectable desserts, my favorite is Gulab Jamun. It is a milk sweet soaked in a sugar syrup.
- The most enjoyable part of Diwali for me and my most favorite part of diwali, is lighting sparklers with my family. The magnanimous light of the sparklers and saying “Happy Diwali” to my family helps me find the true spirit of Diwali, which is togetherness. This reminds me of the Fourth of July, because both of them have grand celebrations.
- There are so many celebrations around the world like Halloween and Thanksgiving, but my favorite is Diwali. Diwali gives us hope for new beginnings. Diwali brings all of us together in the spirit of celebration, joy, and happiness.
An invisible person would feel like a genie as he would be able to fulfil all his wishes. An invisible person would not be stopped or checked by anybody. He could travel wherever he wishes to, tease anybody, peep anywhere and everywhere. Undoubtedly, anybody who becomes invisible would think according to his/her calibre, his/her mental ability and for his/her materialist or fantasied needs. Some would acquire position, some power, others, the riches of the world. But sadly, nobody would bother to look at the bigger picture of resolving the bitter problems of the society. There are so many things that one can do that would prove beneficial to the mankind. One can feed the poor, or unmask the terrorist, or acquire the knowledge of the unknown mysteries of the world.
One day, if I become invisible, firstly, I will thank God for choosing me and giving me the opportunity to put the things to right. I will use my power in the most fruitful manner proving a blessing to the humanity. My ambition would neither be the riches nor power. I would just simply help people in need like the superheroes in the movies. For that I don’t even wish anything in return. Not even fame. I would be contended seeing the people happy.
However, invisibility can prove a little boring when nobody would be able to see or hear the invisible person. It would be like nullifying one’s own identity. It is juxtaposed to the goal of every man. Every man or woman wish to make a place for themselves in the society. Infact, inspite of doing good deeds, the invisible person can unintentionally prove immoral to some. Also ‘great power comes with great responsibility’; with such a power at hand any strictly moral person can think malicious. So, the power would have to be handled with care.
