Corporal punishment is the act of pinching or slapping the student with hand or stick. This is followed by some countries to bring discipline among children from the age of twelve. It is done mainly to bring responsibility in children and to shape them into a good human beings. But the level of punishment should be taken into consideration.
In some cases, the punishment brings a lot of shame and pain to the children which will result in serious effects. Some children are very sensitive and they take the same personally. It leads to many behavioral problems in adolescents like extreme anger, complex, depression and other factors.
The teachers can suspend or give detention to children, but in that case, the student again misses their classes which in turn affects their studies. The best way to stop corporal punishment is to give counseling to each and every child separately and motivate them in the field they are interested in.
