Globalization has brought many benefits and also some challenges, the most serious one being terrorism. Many reasons including international conferences and developing technology show that terrorism is indeed a global threat.  

The fact that a majority of nations worldwide have discussed terrorism at international conferences shows that it is a matter of concern worldwide. Regional conferences, at the continental level, international conferences as well as global conferences, like the ones held in the United Nations indicate that many nations have been affected by terrorists, be it Sri Lanka, America, Britain or even France. It is neither country nor continent specific. Instead,unfortunately, it is a global issue.

Further, with the advent of the internet, communication has become much more quicker and at times untraceable. This allows easier recruitment of unsuspecting youth into terrorism and easier planning. The internet has increased the scope of terrorist activities especially since the internet is available the world over. Now terrorists are recruited from one place, trained at another and used at yet another place. Regional boundaries do not matter anymore. They can be picked up anywhere, harboured anywhere and used to cause harm in any part of the world.

To conclude, given the manner in which terrorism is beyond boundaries and how all nations have it on their agenda, it is clear that the entire world vulnerable to terrorist attacks.
