• Eunuch is a word with a meaning – a person who has been castrated. Castrated means any chemical or surgical action that leads to lose of testicles of an individual. It is also known as gonadectomy.
• Castration can lead to sterilizations and the individual castrated is no more able to produce any more testosterone and some other hormones.
• Eunuchs were served as slaves in history for the Royals. They were castrated in order to make them reliable and they performed really low and domesticated tasks like making bed for the ruler or bathing him or cutting his hair, nails etc.
• They were so reliable as they never had loyalties to their family, not even to aristocracy and this made the rulers and other think that they don't have any interest in establishing their own dynasty.
• But sometimes because of their low positions in the reign, rulers thought that they had no importance and were killed, even for small mistakes and were instantly replaced. They were also used as servants in harems.
• They lead a really painful life and were treated badly yet they emerged in some kingdoms and proving what they're worth. In my views, they must be respected as they spent their whole life serving, without any kind of pleasure and were tortured and killed brutally.
