I will never forget this year’s holidays. At first I thought these holidays would be very boring, because I was going at the seaside with my family. I fought I would be looking forward to come back to school, but I was wrong. I can say my holidays were one of the best in my life.
The beginning was quite boring, but on the 15th of July I went with my parents and my family by the sea. We spent 3 weeks there! We lived at nice, but quite expensive hotel, I think. Our accomodation was in a really good condition. There were two rooms, huge bathroom, terrace with jacuzzi and a swimming-pool in the front of the builing. The hotel was near the sea, it was really comfortable. Sometimes we were going back from the beach late at night, quite tired and hungry. During those three weeks I met a lot of interesting and kind people. In fact, I spent with them most of the time. They have become my friends. We were building sandcastles, we were swimming, we visited many interesting places and we were sunbathing. We were also doing many wild things, it was unforgettable. The weather was great- every morning I was waking up to a deep blue sky and blazing sun. Only one day it was raining, but the rain was quite warm.
I enjoyed my holidays. It was great for my health. I was lying on a beach and relaxing... All tensions disappeared. This year’s holidays were worth remembering.

How I Spent My
Summer Vacation
Summer vacation is a
wonderful time. We have so much leisure time on our hands. We feels so relaxed
and jubilant. Students are the happiest lot. Every year they get a month long
holidays. They plan to visit their relatives, hill stations, and some go
abroad.
I also enjoy my summer
vacation to the fullest. Last summer vacation I had a wonderful time. I
finished my holidays homework within a week. Then I went to visit to my
grandparents in the village.
When just the ten
holidays were left, my father surprised the family by declaring that we were
visiting Dharamshala and the adjoining spots.
We set out early in
the morning. The heat of the season began dwindling as our car went up the
serpentine roads in the Himalayas. We reached Dharamshala in the afternoon, and
finding the place teeming with tourists, we decided to put up at Chamunda Devi.
We luckily got a hotel literally far from the madding crowd!
The sylvan
surroundings around the hotel were as bucolic as described by Wordsworth in his
poems. There was a tall mountain standing grandly just in front of the hotel at
whose foot gargled a rivulet. There were no rows of houses; no honking traffic.
To add more joy to our felicity, it rained very hard that day. The climate was
so agreeably cold, we did not feel the need of switching on even the fans. We
were refreshed physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. As Keats has
rightly said, ’A thing of beauty is a joy forever!'
I
will cherish the pleasant memories of my last summer vacation.
