Answer:

South Korea is one of the most homogeneous countries in the world, in which it has its own culture, language, and customs that are different from other Asian countries.  In South Korea, the citizens greatly value hard work, filial piety, and humility in their daily lives. South Koreans are very proud people in which they pride themselves in their traditional culture and their financial success. South Koreans have certain etiquettes and manners that are highly esteemed in their culture. Like Japan and China, the bow is the main custom of greeting someone. It is not only a form of greeting, but it is also a sign of respect that an individual is showing to the other. Entitlement is important in South Korea, especially when you are…show more content…

Even though many South Koreans express no religious preference, there are two main religions in the country; the citizens of South Korea practice Christianity and Buddhism. Since South Korea is a homogeneous country, it has its own spoken language. The country also does not have many ethnicities residing in the nation, except for some migrant Chinese laborers. South Korea’s social structure revolves around the individual’s professional, family, and education background. People who have attained prestigious job titles, graduated from a first-rate university, or was born into an influential family are placed very high on the social structure. People who do not have a respectable education background are usually on the bottom of the status pole; however, it is possible for social mobility. The South Korean education system is similar to the one in the United States. Even though the years of attendance might be dissimilar from the US, the education system still consists of an elementary, middle, and high school. After graduating from high school, most students apply and attend universities from all across the nation. South Korea appears in the first quadrant of Figure 2.2 in which states that the country has a culture with relatively larger power distance and lower individualism. Answer:

Annyeong my fellow Army, I am so glad you finally like BTS. It would be a suprise to you that BTS was not my first exposure to South Korean culture.  South Korea is an extraordinary country filled with cherry blossoms, beautiful beaches, ancient temples and beautiful scenery. If you are wondering how I know all that even though I haven't visited yet, It is because I watch Korean dramas, films and listen to Kpop. It's amazing how media can make you feel like you have visited the place and understood their culture.

I have been picking upon Hangul (The korean language) little by little and I am waiting for you to pick up the language as well so we can have conversations.

The Kpop fandom is unlike any other fandom in the world. The singers are called idols and they have to train since a very young age (14-15) on to become a trainee and debut at Kpop production companies like Bighit, JYP, SM Entertainment etc. You should read more about their trainings as it is fascinating.

How did you like the Hanbok I gifted you on your birthday? Hanbok was the everyday dress that Koreans wore for thousands of years. They still wear them on special occasions.

After Quarantine is over, we should put on our Hanboks and go to a Korean Cuisine restaurant. Their normal meal consists of rice, vegetable stew, Kimchi (pickled raddish or cabbage) and a number of side dishes. Although many families today buy most of their kimchi in supermarkets, many others still make their own. The traditional practice of kimjang, in which villages and families devoted several days in the autumn to preparing the winter supply of kimchi, is celebrated in such annual kimjang festivals. Other popular Korean dishes include JJajangmyon (Black-bean noodles), Bibimbap (Rice mixed with vegetables, spicy sauce and meat), Bulgogi (Marinated meat grilled over charcoal) and Gingeng tea.

Watching korean movies, I have always wanted to take photographs next to Old korean architectural buildings, temples and hanoks (wooden houses). Did you know that their architecture has Chinese influence but it adapted to local weather conditions.

We should definitely learn Tae-kwo-do,  korean unarmed martial art. It will keep us fit and help us learn some self-defense moves. Well that's all for today!

Note:

1. Annyeong - Hi in korean

2. Army - BTS fans are called Army

Hope this helps. Make the essay  personal to make it more interesting and interactive rather than copying facts since you are introducing the country to your friends and not for a school speech. Make it different!!!
