The Subcontinent of India

Unlike America, India is full of wildlife, rich forests, towering mountains, different religions,

hundreds of festivals, plenty of languages, and various attires. Each part of this prodigious country is

different, this way or that. Every state had contradistinctive vestments, speaks different languages, and

has contrasting cultures. India has great architectural beauties, such as the Taj Mahal, a humongous

marble building built in the 1600’s. The second most populated country with a whopping number of

1,220,800,359 people, India will surpass China around 2027. As Albert Einstein once said, “We owe a lot

to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have

been made”, Indians were the first to invent anduse numbers. Let us explore the wonders of India and

its culture.

The history of India’s culture is over 5,000 years old.

Hinduism includes a pantheon of deities. This often appears strange to

people raised in Western countries, where monotheism is often a

religious given, but in many ways, it is not so different at all from

Western faiths and traditions (Asian shades of spirituality: Implications

for Multicultural School Counseling). In India, there are lots of varying cultures in every state. Indian

cultures that are based on religions such as Islam, Sikh, Christian, Parsi Communities, and Hinduism have

a variety of different religious beliefs and Festivals. Out of all of them, there are three national holidays

which are Independent Day, Republic Day, Mahatma Ghandi Jayanti. The Indian culture refers to the

Indian people being the life of India. India’s republic gained independence from British rule on the 15th

of August, 1947. Eve...

people have the privilege to do. No matter what culture you are from, the religion you practice, what

language you speak, the people never forget they are part of one whole: the Indian country.
