India, a multicultural country. Because India is so vast and is divided in so many States, languages and religions, its culture is also much diversified.

As man is the latest evolutionary being, he should respect other beings and plants which have greater legacy to claim in this universe. Human beings can’t live independent of non-human beings or plants. Hence when we try to eliminate or destroy non-human beings and plants we are eliminating ourselves from this planet. Let me quote again from “Multicultural Harmony”:

Let other things also live

Since you are selfish and greedy

you take more than

what is due to you

Other beings struggle for necessities

whereas you are after

comforts and luxuries

You become rich

pushing hundreds of your neighbours

to the abyss of starvation.

• Multicultural country, is the country which relates to a number of different religions, cultures, customs, beliefs, traditions and races.

India is a Multicultural Country :-

India is a Multicultural country because of the following reasons :-

• India is a country in South Asia. By area, It is the seventh largest country in the world. It is the second most populous country with more than 1.3 billion people.

• India is a big country so it is divided into different states. Each state has its own culture, traditions, beliefs and many other things.

• There are six main religions in India - Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism and Jainism. Each religion has its own beliefs and traditions. All religions, live in India as unity in diversity.

• Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism and Jainism are the religions were actually born in India.

• India, consists of 29 states. Each state has its own language and culture.

• India, consists of different kind of film industries such as Bollywood (Hindi), Tollywood (Telugu), Kollywood (Tamil) etc.

• There are 3 National festivals in India - Republic day, Independence day and Gandhi Jayanti and many other religious festivals such as Muharram, Sankranti, Bakrid, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Diwali, Mahaveer Jayanti, Christmas etc.
