Answer:

Joys and Sorrows: Two Aspects of the Same Coin

Inayat Khan has beautifully said, ‘Joys and sorrows are the light and shade of life; without life and shade no picture is clear.’ It is the truth of life that joys and sorrows are the two sides of the same coin. Both are integral part of life. They are like the seasons. If joy is the spring, then the other is the winter. There has been no human being on this planet that has not experienced the ecstasies of joy and pangs of sorrow.

All great men have taught mankind to treat joys and sorrows stoically. They have cautioned not to be overjoyed at joys and not to be depressed with the sorrows. Neither joys nor sorrows are permanent. Famous philosopher and writer Kahlil Gibran has written very poetically on joys and sorrows in his book, The Prophet. He writes: ‘Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.’

So, our approach to joys and sorrows should be sagacious. We should neither celebrate our joys nor lament over our sorrows. Both are cyclic in life. as long as there is life, we keep experiencing them one after the other. We should welcome joys when they bring sunshine in our life; we should also welcome sorrows when we feel somber sadness and pain on account of them.

'Joy and Sorrow: The Two aspects of the coin '

Join and sorrow are like two aspects of the same coin. Even if you tose a coin you can't get head every time or tale all the time. And what's going to come a 'head or tale' can't be known, we can hope for the one we want, but the rest is on God's hand or luck. Similarly join and sorrow are like two aspects of a coin, You can't get happiness all the time, not you can get 'sadness and sorrow' all the time. We can hope for what we want but the rest is not in our hand. What is going to happen, it can't be expected before.

Afterall, a dream that comes true after a lot of hardship is like the loveliest moment. Similarly, happiness after a lot of sorrows seems like the loveliest moment, at that time when we get eternal joy, we forget all the pains and just lost at that moment.

Situations can never be the same, A bad situation never remains the same, a joyful moment also never remains the same. Both the situations come in everyone's life, the thing is just we never have to lose hope in hard days. Join and sorrow are the two sides of the same coin, each time tossed, the result will not same everytime. But both experience are needed to taste in life. Both situations have their own teaching and lessons. And one situation never remains the same.

Thanks!
