Answer:

Jugaad is a term applied to a creative or innovative idea providing a quick, alternative way of solving or fixing a problem. Indians are known to be Masters of Jugaad. Being a developing country, having innovative minds that can find a jugaad for anything is quite helpful for the growing economy of the country. It has not only helped India to grow as an economic power but it has also helped people to live a more fruitful life in this age of modernisation and it also enhances our creativity among us . It is a boon for the people of our country as they can help us solve a variety of problems and can manage themselves in hard situations. We have a habit of opting with a hack for our problems rather than running to experts to seek a solution. So, we can say that the famous lines ‘Necessity is the mother of invention’ is quite apt in India. So below are some famous jugaad’s so have a look ……

Answer:

How much ever we shy away from it, but Jugaad has kept us all going. Our last minute problem handler. Our saviour in the most arduous situation. A warrior against time at the 11th hour. The jugaad. We Indians should take pride in the essence of jugaad- necessity is the mother of invention.

Well, foreigners call them hacks and that’s cool. But Indian jugaad can be a possession taken as an embarrassment by some. Although many a times the term ‘Jugaad’ may be a subject to negative inclination, but none can ignore the efficiency, spontaneity and creativity that we have developed through this very idea. The acme example of jugaad I can give you, and you can take pride in, is the Mangalyaan. With the Americans and the British struggling to make a rocket, strong enough to reach Mars, we Indians focused our wholesome attention on using the available rocket and make JUGAADS to send it to Mars.

So covering you windows with bedsheets while your curtains are in the washing machine, or taping up your charger cable so as it can work a few more days, rolling over the toothpaste tube to get those last drops out or the adjustment of 5 people on 1 bike (don’t do this, please); we Indians have always had our brains working and out of the box ideas popping.

We Indians hate changes. We can grow, but we want to take forward every possessions of ours on our path of ascent. We want to stick to our basics. And that’s what gets the jugaad mentality triggered in us. The idea of not letting go and innovation combined, sure produces some results whose fruits can be cherished for an extended period of time.

But we must remember, not every jugaad is welcomed. One can never risk one’s own life or other’s life in the name of jugaad. Jugaad, highlights the core of innovation for productivity, efficiency and most importantly betterment of its direct users, with no attention to put in danger anyone’s life. Like the life threatening jugaads of skipping a visit to a doctor and treating ourselves with self or pharmacist prescribed medicines. Or may be using electronics with certain defects in it, with potential of causing fires or lethal situations.

We should remember, jugaad means to turn scrap into an artefact. To pull out the best from the waste, without any chances of harm to any of its users. Also remember certain nonpareil possessions can not have a replacement or extension with the help of jugaads, they need to be up to date. Please don’t apply any jugaad mentality there.

So, in the end i will leave by quoting –

keep growing and keep jugaading!
