Answer:
Explanation:
Nature never closes all the doors of exit from any crisis it creates and it is up to the people confronting the crisis to discover the path to the exit. History is full of such stories of the Hero’s finding the path – of those who could lead, of those who could support and of those too who opposed and obstructed the path. It may be voicing the concerns of fellow citizens, the Prime Minister to come again and lead from the front given the following of symbolic Jana ta Curfew reaffirming beyond doubt Narendra Modi’s eternal mass appeal and the irrevocable trust of the people. He has now come out on his full being with, and not merely leading, his people to take them to a logical and conclusive win over the pandemic.
A research expected to reduce the reach of corona up to 62% by effective social distancing. WHO has been applauding the endeavors being taken by India and the international communities and organisations are seeing towards us with great expectations and hope. The Prime Minister didn’t hesitate in accepting that our health facilities might not be as sound and vibrant as many already corona victim countries but then we do have theses experience to work up on. He could bring home the point of shut down and restraint too nicely when he included himself also assimilating himself with his people. On the first day of lock down and on the very first day of the Hindu Year we could find and observe the resolve of the people to proceed with their leader.
The Lock Down would be the largest of its kind and phenomenal too being unique on the globe and would have a definite impact in stopping and breaking the chain of the invisible enemy. We do have the history of proceeding with the horses of victory on performing ‘Ashwamegh Yagya’ from time immemorial and our this resolve of the Yagya against the virus would be one more story of our victory.
There are certain baggage of impediments that we carry with us and those have to be overcome – Firstly, we are impatient people and as a community we become hysterical in responding to any crisis in our first steps over responding to the situation. Even most literates of us are swayed away by slightest shadow of uncertainty away from reason and conscience. The scenes of crowds before utility shops within minutes of Prime Minister’s speech would be a tiny example. Many of us need police to enforce even wearing of seat belts and helmets. Secondly, we do have a tendency of breaking restraints and impositions and often lose sight of our greater good against our immediate impulses. We always need to be reminded and probably enforced the impositions. Thirdly, we generally love roaming around more than staying back home. Restrictions on movements is just a punishment for us. Even though we are much tired engaging in our respective professions, we do prefer meeting acquaintances and socializing than just taking rest. Fourthly, Isolation even with members of family, in itself, is punishing. It creates lots of stress giving rise to frustration. Many of us have tiny homes and very restricted place difficult to accommodate all the family members simultaneously. It creates in itself lot of issues when four-five of the family members share an one room accommodation. Fifthly, and most importantly, a complete loss of income for people depending on daily profession of whatever nature are just not able to sustain the jobless days especially the sudden and unplanned one.
We have to overcome these impediments to begin with. Certain material as well as psycho-sociological – tangible as well as intangible – interventions are needed to mitigate and manage the people in lock down for longer period. There has to be some economic assistance coming in for daily income groups ranging from daily wage earners to footpath venders to venders at railway stations and bus stands to sells representatives of tiny sectors. In the press meet of Finance Minister something like this was very much expected by these sectors. But the presser addressed mainly and solely the statutory obligations and submissions issues and didn’t go beyond that. Some tangible interventions would, therefore, be needed without further loss of time.
The Prime Minister’s move of the lock down should command the support of the entire political class across parties – mainly the opposition, of social and cultural organizations including NGOs and all other voluntary organizations working with the society at large. This will provide huge impetus to the cause and would find the nation on one page at these testing times. All the leaders, opinion makers, even the spiritual leaders should stand up sending messages of support. This would boost up morals of the people confined to homes.
