The Indian Parliament approved the draft National Policy on Education in May 1986. The then Human Resource Development Minister Mr. P.V.Narasimha Rao assured the Parliament that its implementation would not run into difficulties due to financial constraints. It may be recalled that the former Prime Minister Mr. Rajiv Gandhi had given the promise of formulating a new educational policy just after he assumed office. The main features of this policy are as follows :
» In the new educational policy it is stressed that a human being is apositive asset and a precious national resource which needs to be cherished, nurtured and developed with tenderness and care, coupled with dynamism. Hence education is regarded essential for all. This is fundamental to our all round development, material and spiritual. Education is a unique investment in the present and the future. This cardinal principle is the key to the National Policy on Education. The Policy attempts to formulate a National System of Education for which effective measures will be taken in the direction of the Common School System recommended in the 1968 policy. The National System of Education envisages a common educational structure. It will be based on a national curricular framework which contains a common core alongwith other components that are flexible. The common core will include history of India's freedom movement, the constitutional obligations and other contents essential to national identity. It seeks t to promote values such as india's common cultural heritage, egalitarianism, democracy and secularism, equality of the sexes, protection of environment, removal of social barriers, observance of the small family norm and inculcation of scientific temper. The new Education has to strengthen our world view and motivate the younger generation for international co-operation and peaceful co-existence.

the government has made some policies for Indian education around 1968 and from then to know many policies have change and new policies has been also adopted. the policies are made for different category like primary, secondary, sr.secondary etc.
The government policy in respect of the medium of education has not changed. However, a significant increase in the number of schools – primary and secondary – imparting education through the English medium is a significant development. Thousands of nursery schools that have mushroomed since the last decade purport to impart education to infants through English.

We need to create a balance system of education. Education should be imparted through the Mother tongue and through English language as well. Studying in one’s mother language is very important. It develops a feeling of love and respect for his mother language. Since, most of the cultural and epic books are written in mother language, a person would be devoid of his own cultural richness if he is unable to read book written in his mother language.

On the other hand, English language is a globally accepted language for communication. Even in India, people of different states often communicate in English. English language bridges the language gap between people. Hence, we cannot afford to ignore the importance of English language.

Regarding the medium of instruction in colleges and universities, some State Governments have already decided, in principle, to switch over to the regional language. However the implementation in this respect has remained very slow. If regional languages are fully used for imparting college education, mobility from one region to another for the higher education in India will be seriously hampered. But continuing higher education through the English medium is disfavored by many politicians and some educationalists. The alternative of imparting college education through the Hindi medium throughout the country makes no sense. Thus, the Indian dilemma in respect of medium of education still continues.
after that I personally think that there should be educational strategies of training and organising programme should be started for music, acting, and every sports and all other things in which any body who want to learn, trained, and make thier career in those fields in which they are interested in.
for classes there should be a site need be started where online classes footage should be uploaded from where anyone can take knowledge about anything and by these the harassing and molesting done by some of the teachers who do that mind my words some of the teachers not all teachers do that but some of them do then these unfair and illegal practices also been avoided very easily if Evey class have cctv cameras running inside the classes all the time
hope U get some help from these one shati all the best hv fun
