Hi
➡️❤️Raksha Bandhan is one of the main festivals in Hindu religion. Although it is celebrated across India, it holds special reference for those belonging to the northern and western parts of the country.
The priests in the country announce special time for tying rakhi on the day of Raksha Bandhan. It is time for the ladies to adorn beautiful attires and get ready for the occasion. They are mostly seen wearing ethnic ensembles with matching accessories and footwear. Men are also seen donning traditional Indian attire. The atmosphere is filled with love and joy. The ritual begins with sisters applying tilak on their brothers’ forehead. They then tie rakhi on their brothers’ wrist and exchange sweets. Sisters wish for the well being of their brothers as they carry out the ritual. Brothers give gifts to their sisters and promise to take care of them in every situation. It is not only a special day for brothers and sisters but is also a great occasion to bond with other family members.❤️

Thanks for asking this question ✌️
Coming to the point :-
Rakhsa Bandhan is a festival of love between brother and sister. It is a festival of Hindu religion but we can see instances in which non Hindus also celebrate this festival. This festival is mostly celebrated in the month of August sometimes September. Sisters tie a "Raksha Sutra" whose new name is "Rakhi" so that their brothers protect them and help them in need. Also, this Rakhi symbolises the love of sisters towards their brothers. Sisters hope for their brother's success. In return, brothers provide a great variety of gift for them ♥️
Raksh Bandhan also has it's deep roots associated with history also. According to some historians, Rani Karnvati send a Rakhi to Humayun to help his husband in a battle. This is another instance in which a Non-hindu celebrated Raksha Bandhan.
Also in mythologies, when Krishna killed Shishupala,(one of the demon in hindu mythology) one of his finger was hurt and started bleeding. Seeing this, Draupadi (wife of Pandavas in Mahabharat the great epic) immediately tore her Saree(Indian wear) and tie it on his hand. Krishna also Promise her to protect her and help her in need. And as we can see, he helped her during "Cheer-Haran"(The time when Draupadi was behaves badly by Duryodhan)
We can see many instances like this that depicts the reason to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. This is the festival that shows the great love and happiness between brothers and sisters and not only the siblings but also the whole family enjoys it.
Hope it helps dear friend ☺️✌️
