Hi friend,

Your answer:

For many people, Christmas is just the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Or about gifts under the tree, the lights in the windows, snow in the yard, shouting of "Merry Christmas" to others. But in reality, it is much more than that. It is a time of healing and renewed strength and the celebration of the acts of love.

Jesus Christ was born in was born in 5 or 6 BC. 25th December was chosen by the Roman Catholic Church in the 4th century as the celebration of his birthday since it was already celebrated as a pagan feast day. Over time, different traditions like the Yule log, mistletoe, and evergreen wreaths were absorbed into the Christmas traditions.

Christmas is already a very special event for us. But we make it even more special, we can follow some ideas,like -

* Buying gifts from non-profit organizations.
* Visiting orphanages and donating new or used but clean things.
* Hanging paper snowflakes throughout the house for praying for people who are close to you.
* Limit the number of expensive gifts.
* Read a few Advent or Christmas books.
* Attend Christmas Eve Service.
* Have a traditional yule log party with friends and family members.

The decorations used for the Christmas celebrations are usually thrown away by people after the end of the season and it languishes in landfills for many years to come. So, this Christmas, let us all decide to show our environment and little bit of love and care by using decorations made from recycling used things or judiciously using what is available to us. Like:-

* Making snow flakes from plastic bottles.
* Buying decorations that last longer.
* Use old Christmas cards to make beautiful buntings.
* Make edible gifts like homemade biscuits, cakes, etc.Like this, there are many ways utilizing which we can celebrate an eco-friendly Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hope it helps!
