Child labour in India is the hottest topic in the social networking sites nowadays. Each child is a very important asset of any nation in this existing world. They are an asset to this wonderful society where we are living in. The future welfare of the surroundings where we are living in is close to the welfare of children.

They are so important asset to this society, nation because they are the future of the nation.Let us consider they are buds in a garden, our society is a garden and we need to take care of the buds so that one day they become beautiful flowers. These beautiful flowers spread beautiful scent in the garden.

Child labour in India is a socioeconomic problem. It’s not a new phenomenon in our country, India. In the ancient times, Children were required to do work either at home or in the field along with parents.

Child labour is in practice of having many children engaged in economic activity on a part time or full-time basis.This practice is harmful to the children, this may deprive the children of their childhood.

According to the survey of national india census the total number of child labourers who aged between 4 to 15 , to be at 12.6 million,out of a total child population of 253 million in the 5 to 14 age group.In the 2009-10 survey which was conducted nationwide found prevalence of child labour had reduced to less than 2% of children in 5 to 14 age group.In 2011 it was found that the number of child labourers to be at 4.36 million and the total child population was 259.64 million in that age group.

★ By spreading awareness among people we can eradicate child labour.

★ Generally the child of poor families work as Child labour.

So , there must be more employment among the poor people.

★ Government should provide more jobs .

★ By reducing poverty we can eradicate the child labour.

★ By promoting education in the rural and Poor areas.

★ By supplying food in those rural and Poor families.

★ The National Population Policy 2000 strongly focused on this problem. It also takes many steps to eridicate the child labour.

It strongly focused on educating the children of age 6-14 .

It provides mid day meals also in government schools so that the children do not work for getting food.
