Don't be busy with the work of the Lord, till you forget the God of the work
Answers
Answer:
God wants each of us to work. We can see this from the beginning, in the book of Genesis 2:15 “The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” God did not want us to be lazy but wants us to work for a living. God himself set an example for us by making the heavens and the earth and everything in it in 6 days and resting on the 7th day. We should similarly work and rest on the 7th day. Most of us Christians follow this model, we work for 6 days and rest on Sunday where we attend Church, worship with fellow believers and feed on His Word. But is it enough, that we feed on God’s Word only once a week?
Explanation:
Life has changed a lot in the 21st century. Some of us have to work in shifts, some of us have to work on a Sunday, and some of us put in extra hours to make extra money. Stress due to work also has considerably increased and most of us wind down at the end of the day in front of the TV or with our mobiles. We sleep and again get up the next morning and get back to the same routine. How many of us give time to reading the Word and praying? We don’t even get time to attend Bible studies or prayer meetings. And slowly we become content that at least we attend Church on a Sunday. But we don’t realize that somehow even our Sunday has become a routine and we only attend because we feel it is what we are supposed to do. We take out time for other “fun” things, but somehow everything related to God takes a backseat. So this question arises, are we too busy for God?
