I was going to Faizabad with my father. I expressed my desire to see the zoo at Lucknow on the way. He agreed and we got down at Lucknow. He deposited our luggage in clock- room.
After taking our bath and heavy refreshment we hired a tonga and reached the zoo. We bought our tickets and entered the zoo. As we entered the compound, we saw a small house surrounded by a wire net. Inside it, we saw a number of snakes of all sizes and colours. For the first time in my life, I saw a grey snake a as thin as the small finger. There were snakes called pythons. They seemed to be two or three quintals heavy.
Then we saw a tank full of all kind of coloured fish. They were leaping about and swimming beautifully in the clear water. In another tank we saw small hills and rocks on which a crocodile was basking. It got down and disappeared in the water. There were many crocodiles on the land. Some were dozing. Some were taking rest under the tree.
We also saw many kinds of birds of all kinds and colours. The ostrich was as large as the camel. There was a large number of bright red little robins. They were singing. It was all a beautiful scene. I saw many kinds of monkeys also the were black, white and red, big and small. The peacocks were dancing merrily. There were white peacocks. It belongs to Japan. It was my first chance to see a white peacock. There were many kinds of monkeys and parrots – very small and very big like kite.
Then I saw the deer and rhinoceros. The rhinoceros was a big animal with a heavy thick skin. He was surrounded by the iron bars. In fact all the animals in a cage were surrounded by a bar fence.
The most interesting thing was the wonderful sight of tigers moving about freely in the open behind the enclosures. Their place was surrounded by a broad ditch of water. So we had nothing to fear. We also saw the King of the forest, the lion. I had never seen a lion before. So I was wondered and frightened. The lion had a brown colour. His body was bare but he had long hair on his neck. His head was large and the eyes were bright and shining. Sometimes he yawned and showed his large teeth and big mouth. I saw many other wild beasts like the panther, the leopard, and other whose names I could not know. I read the labels on every door and knew what animals there were.
We returned to station with a lasting impression on our mind. Now we’re had to go to Faizabad with a memory. It was a new experience. It was a learning without class room. It increased my knowledge. Everybody must see the zoo when it is possibleLast summer vacation my school's picnic went to S.K.Y Zoo which is near Talegao..This picnic is organized by our school's staff.So we had to pay some amount of money as a fees charge.That is approximately 500 hundred.We had pay the required amount.And on 25th December we went to the S.K.Y Zoo.
So,25th day was an especial because on that day one more celebration was there and that is Christmas.The combination of two joy was really very nice for all of us. They had decorated all things on the occasion of Christmas celebration.After going there we entered into the zoo.After entering into the zoo a curiosity in the mind of me and I think in all who was present there and that curiosity is nothing but to see the different types of pet and wild animals which were caught in the still cage while some were free but for them a special place have been given.
So,we start first from the pandas.There were so many pandas who were caught in the cage because they are wild animals and can cause harm to the humans that's why they kept inside the cage.We saw may pandas in different varieties of colours ,we also saw a white bear who was looking very beautiful.
After that,we moved to next one.We walked some distance and visited to the cage of the Lions and tigers we also heard the roar of the Lions which was very danger to hear.
After that we saw a small pond in which many birds and aquatic animals were swimming.We stood and started looking at the birds like ducks,the scenario of watching the birds was really amazing.We also used to ride on a boat.Which was running without electricity in that we had to operate with our legs.We enjoyed many things in the boat with out friends.
After watching and enjoying all things we went to the guiders place ,were many experienced and skilled members stood there,their work is to guide and explain all queries which people have.So we also asked many things to them like we Shared our query to them that how they maintain and improve the betterment of the animals.Then they told us that there are different different types of departments in their workspace and the work of all the department's is different as they defined in specific tasks.After Listing all the things we Shaked our hands to them and granted to leave.
The zoo has surrounded by the rings and with long types of grass and many different types of flowers which attracts to the people with the wilds and pet animals.All the people of the surrounding areas and from a part of the different places used to visit this zoo.They used to spend their time with their families and their relatives.
So,me and my all friends including with our teachers and all the member staffs enjoyed a lot.We spend the precious moments wil all of them.And really that has been proved as the unforgivable moments in our lives.
