wit: commonly the meaning of wit is intelligence. it is a mental ability or quality which is used for understand the things and also help to search relationship between things and for getting the knowledge. wit is only one which make life easy in difficult situation. how? it gave knowledge to deal with situation and also adapt these situation as a helpful way.
humour: word have more than one meaning like amusing , comic or state of mind but in literature it called as witty means fitting reply. humour is saying to those person who are fitting reply we can say witty. who are able to quick witted at any time this is the unique spacility of humour person . we take the example in a sentence :- he passed a witty remark in his speech. he is a witty person.
