Hi there!

My favourite author is : Joanne K. Rowling

[ You would ask me. ]
Why J. K. Rowling is my favorite writer?
Since I started to read "Harry Potter" in my early years, I can say that I grew up with Harry.

Each subsequent book was more interesting than previous, more serious, more exciting and thrilling. [ Ahh! Such an amzing feeling it was :D ]

J.K. Rowling has exerted an amazing influence upon millions of people. Her books have stimulated in many children the desire to read, drew them away from their computers; there is no other book that could be able to attract so many people to reading books.

Harry Potter is not just a fairy tale, this is a period of life that you have gone along with the characters.

You can find very few of those who have not at least once heard about a boy named Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling's books are sold in almost every bookstore, continuing to remain among the best sellers, and the screen version of novels gained considerable success.

Everyone who fell in love with the books about Harry Potter wanted to visit the homeland of famous magicians after watching the screen version of the fairy tale.

Nevertheless, what is the reason of success of Rowling's novels?
What is the reason for such popularity of the magical world of Hogwarts, not only among children, for whom the book is designated, but also even among adults?

Maybe it is that they find in the books what many of them dreamed of - that very close there is a different fairyland, a world of magic, which is adjacent to the ordinary everyday life?

A world in which many dreams may come true, where children can work wonders, fly not only on broomsticks, but also on dragons, make friends with the giants and centaurs.

Hogwarts alone is worthy of admiration.
This is exactly the school where every child would like to study, in which besides boring lessons and tiresome homework there are so much more interesting and exciting things: ghosts fly in the corridors, every nook and cranny holds a lot of secrets, there children live separately from adults, left to themselves currently.

Is not about such school dreaming every child? [ I really want to study there :p ]

And if you imagine that the reader in addition to all of this have to go through a lot of terrific adventures, fight against evil enemies, solve mysteries, trying to figure out who is a friend and who is a foe, it becomes clear why the books of J.K. Rowling's are so breathtaking.

No wonder that Rowling’s books aroused a great amount of imitations and parodies, usually of inferior quality.
Too many would like to line their pockets with the glory of the Boy who has survived and the One who should not be named.

Therefore it is good that the author revealed almost all the secrets and mysteries in her last book, not leaving any unsolved issue as well as the possibility of sequel. Certainly every author should know when characters must be set free.

I am happy that I became acquainted with the first book of J.K. Rowling and met Harry Potter at the age of 9. [ Now I'm 16 btw :p ]

Harry grew up, got older and I grew up with him. I am grateful to my favorite writer Joanne for this precious gift for many years! ❤❤

[ Thank you! for asking this question.. It refreshed my memories :D ]
Hope it helps!
