Everyone was preparing for the journey.

It was a hectic day at work. But given that all my relatives work at the same office- The Monsoon Inc.- it was a big relief.

The monsoon ministers were going to each individual and giving them instructions of where they had to begin and end their journey.

My parents and I were thankfully given the same starting and ending point.

It might sound funny, but our office was a makeshift one. It was never in the same place. Sometimes it's on a huge cloud, sometimes it's on a small one. Sometimes it's near the sun and sometimes it's near the rainbow.

Anyway, we were all ready to go on our journey now.

My father went first. My mother, next.

It was my turn now. I was petrified. It was my first ever journey as a rain drop.

“Go ahead now! You're going to be fine.” The Monsoon minister consoled me.

I took my first step outside the cloud, and down I went.

It was hard to open my eyes at first. But when I did, there were no familiar faces .

There were stranger drops on leaves, some were falling right beside me, some fell on buildings, some went right on the ground.

Terrified, I looked down on the ground I was about to fall on. Amidst the blurriness, I eventually found my parents waiting for me.

After reaching the ground I let out a sigh of relief.

At last I arrived safely.
