Hey dear!!

Here's your answer :-

Double displacement are reactions in which two compounds react by an exchange or displacement of ions to fork mew compounds.

For example :-

Na2SO4 (aq) + BaCl2 (aq) -------> 2NaCl (aq) + BaSO4 (s) ⬇

Sodium sulphate + Barium Chloride -----> Sodium Chloride + Barium Sulphate (white precipitate).

In this reaction, Sulphate (SO^2-) ions displce chlorine (Cl^-) ions and chlorine (Cl^-) ions displce sulphate (SO4^2-) ions

Since the reaction involves the Displacement of two chemical species, therefore, it is known as ⒹⓄⓊⒷⓁⒺ ⒹⒾⓈⓅⓁⒶⒸⒺⓂⒺⓃⓉ ⓇⒺⒶⒸⓉⒾⓄⓃ

#hope  this helps  you  dear✌
