Explanation:

For proof of chlorine u have to consider the reaction of conc. HCl with a metallic oxide such as MnO2 or PbO2 . it evolves a gas which is greenish yellow in colour(chlorine) and turns starch iodide paper blue black. the acidic properties of HCL prove the presence of Hydrogen in the acid
