Answer:

The mixture of water and acetone is separated by a process called Fractional Distillation. Fraction Distillation is a process of heating a mixture of two liquids which have a difference in their boiling points. The liquid which has less boiling point turns into vapours and the other liquid is left back

Explanation:

It’s very difficult, but there are two ways I can think of.

Fractional distillation. Gently heat the mixture and recover the acetone vapor with a condenser. You may need to do this several times. This requires apparatus and is somewhat hazardous, since the flash point of acetone is an astonishingly low minus 20 degrees C.

Add a desiccant to the mixture to absorb the water, then filter off the acetone. Plaster of Paris will do the job and is cheap and easy to obtain.
