To show that heat transfers from hotter objects to colder objects

Procedure

Take an iron or aluminium rod or strip. Fix a few wax pieces on at equal distances. Clamp the rod to a stand. Heat the other end of the rod.

Observation-

We see that the nails start to fall down as the wax starts to melt. The nail which was closest to the flame falls first, then the next one and so on.

Inference-

Heat transfers from the higher temperature to lower temperature
