There was ash everywhere. The whole sky was dark grey and the sun was blocked out. The city was illuminated by burning trees, buildings, exploding cars, etc. The thick, extremely hot lava had destroyed everything in its path. Once there had been a big shopping mall which was now reduced to nothing. There was no sign of life anywhere. Everyone had evacuated leaving behind there houses which had now become victims to the deadly lava. Some of the lava had cooled to form a big black field of igneous rocks. No sign of existence of a city was left.
