Imaginative introduction: That afternoon we were returning home from school. Akash, Bidhan and I were the ones to take the short-cut way. We three saw the deserted house besides the road. Probably no one went in for years. But to our curiosity and fear, we were forced to go in.
The entrance gate was about five metres high. We climbed up and walked on the dusty path. Clearly some rats could be seen here and there wandering for their dinner. In the right side, near the wall, there could be seen a tree with no leaves.
The door of the house was opened after a united effort from all of us. There was the nameplate rusty and dirty, but it was reading "Dr. Prahlad Basu". So that was a doctor's house. We went into the hall room. There was still a little sunlight left in the sky. We could see pictures hanging on walls; probably pictures of the family members of Dr. Basu.
We saw a piano in another room. A flower vase on a tool near it, but no flowers! To our curiosity, we all wanted to play the piano. As soon as we went closer, we heard a noise of someone's walk and groaning. We ran into another room and saw a dog with three puppies. The house was not deserted to its fullest then.
