There was a girl I met online via a social networking site. She seemed to be different but had no friends. She wanted to be my friend and gradually we became best friends.
One fine day in a shopping mall, I caught her stealing an earring by pretending to look at it. When confronted, she said that had happened by mistake and asked me to forget the incident.
I was quite immature and didn't realise her intentions then. I was convinced with what she said and we continued shopping. After the billing procedure, I was caught at the exit gate and harassed for shoplifting.
To my surprise, some unpaid items were detected from my bag. By then the entire matter was clear to me. I waited for my friend to open her mouth but she escaped. She was a chameleon in disguise indeed.
