Obesity generally occurs when a person consumes more than the required amount of food on a regular basis and does not indulge in physical activities to burn the excess fat. The problem can also be genetic and may even be caused as a side effect of certain medicines or psychological factors such as sadness, depression, nervousness, etc.
The problem can be prevented by following below-mentioned tips:
Follow a healthy diet that is full of various micronutrients. However, keep a tab on how much you eat.
Instead of having three large meals a day it is suggested to have four-five small meals.
Squeeze in at least half an hour each day to exercise.
Keep a check on your body weight as well as your waist line.
Obesity is not just a problem in its own; it can lead to various serious health problems such as cardiovascular diseases, brain stroke, infertility, sleep apnea and diabetes. If you do not prevent this problem from occurring, you will have to undergo extensive treatment to cure it. SO EAT HEALTHY , EXERCISE WELL AND STAY HEALTHY.!

Worldwide statistics today prove that obesity, specifically in children, in developed countries is one of the leading causes of many health problems. While there are millions of children who die of starvation and malnutrition there are an equally large number that suffer from obesity due to overeating.
One of the main causes of obesity is eating the wrong type of food. 'Junk food' or 'fast food' to which even adults are attracted, lead to obesity. Processed foods, oils and fats and aerated soft drinks complete the picture. Another factor, leading to obesity is the lack of exercise. With all the modern gadgets at our disposal, we can live our lives sitting in an armchair and yet be connected with the rest of the world. Today, the cell phone does everything for you. You can book tickets, pay bills, play games, entertain yourself with music and movies, without moving a step.
Being obese leads to several problems. It puts pressure on the heart and results in diseases like cholesterol, diabetes, and so on. Besides, the excess preservatives and other added colours and additives leads to cancer of various types. An obese person is never a happy person. He is always lazy and lethargic with no fresh air and playing outdoors.
It is quite easy to prevent obesity. Pay attention to your diet right from a very young age. We all like to see chubby babies, but that is actually the start of obesity. You must exercise, go for a walk, take the steps instead of the lift and catch the bus at the next stop. Give yourself some time for any physical activity or hobby like gardening where you bend and stretch in order to fight obesity successfully.
