Once there was an old yet mysterious tailor who used to move from one village to another, looking for jobs. But the mysterious thing was even though he was offered a good tailoring job, he wouldn't stay at one place for more than two/ three months.
So, by the time he was in his fifth village, a young man took interest in him and decided to find out why the old man had to move around so much. He followed him wherever he moved, feeling more intrigued every time the third month approaches. Once they reached the eighth village, he sensed that the tailor has changed. He couldn't figure what the exact change is but he can sense it.
In the next village, the days went as usual, with the old tailor working for a local shop when suddenly, he didn't turn up for work one day. Thinking he may be sick, the young man waited a day or two but still, the old man didn't show up.
He went to the shop and asked around, why the tailor didn't come or what is happening. Then, the shop owner told him that the old man had 'retired'. When he asked where he was, the shopkeeper told him that he can be found in the corner of the village, at the end of the road.
The young man went there to see that the old man sitting in the verandah, enjoying with the children around him. Curious about the tailor's life, he went up to the old man who invited him immediately. He revealed that he had known about the young man who kept following him in his 'travels'. When asked why he didn't stay for long in a single village, the old man replied "That was my way of seeing the world before I leave the earth." Impressed and inspired by the old man’s reply, the young man expressed his admiration for the tailor who had traveled to see the world and at the same time continue his profession. He returned to his home with a new understanding of life and how one can enjoy despite circumstances.
