I could see darkness filling my house everywhere. I called out loudly "Mom , dad is anybody home?" There was no response only i got back my voice echoing . It was dead silence then. I tried to switch on the lights and realised it was a power cut. It was very unusual because nobody ever left me alone . I completed my chores and thought of calling them. As I went near to pick the cell phone , a thunder struck. Then I remembered that I had to unplug electronics and bring clothes from the terrace . I had put on some lamps but their battery seemed to die soon. As I completed these all works my stomach can no longer be kept empty . The mice now had begun to play cricket. I can call no one as it was thundering out loud. I went to the kitchen and remembered how my mom used to cook. Taking all precautions I made my own food which was fried rice , to my surprise it was better than the best. I never realised that I can cook even. It took me some seconds to complete my food . Now my stomach was in a good state . I never ever do any work in home because my studies never left me. I made some fried rice for my parents. Just as i closed the food the battery of my lamps died. The fear inside me was about to engulf me but it made me remember of how me and my mom used to do all the works at home together without light calling it a training when I was small. I too remembered my dad playing blind walking with me in the house. These memories refreshed me and I don't know where the fear went then. I did all those things which I used to do earlier. After some time my parents came and found me sleeping like a baby in my bed with the whole house cleaned and the food prepared. When I woke up I got to know that my parents went to hospital as our close family friend had a new born baby. I realised that "Difficulties in your life do not come to destroy you but to help you realise your hidden power and potential. Let difficulties know you are too difficult."

I walked home tired and hungry from school but as I unlock the door of my house I heard a sound from inside. I opened the door silently so the other person cannot hear the crack of the door. I left my bad outside and I texted my three friends about this and told them to call my parents and police immediately if I didn't call them in 10 mins.
I moved inside and closed the door silently. There was rambling of utensil and it was definitely sound of the human. There is no doubt it. I took my cricket bat behind the main door and walked to the kitchen. There was a huge man standing beside the kitchen island. I had his back to me.
When I was about to hit him on the back, the man held the cricket bat. I know I was not fast enough. I was making my body ready to endure pain when he smiled and said, "I see I have met my little nephew." Well, that was my uncle.
I ran to the main door and replied my friends that it was my uncle. Later, I requested my uncle to not eat like a thief.
